Our Board

Curt is a global educator and international development practitioner with expertise in sustainable energy systems and appropriate technologies for development. After working as a musician (drummer) and photographer in his native homeland of Rhode Island, Curt moved to Paraguay to serve as an environmental education PCV. He spent six months in the middle of the Paraguayan Chaco (Filadelfia) before relocating to the hills of Cordillera (near Atyra). During his service (2001-03), Curt fell in love with his surrounding nature and the art of birding, which has continued as one of his passions to this day.

After Peace Corps, Curt worked in Washington, D.C. and Japan before moving back to New England to earn an MA in Sustainable International Development and later a Ph.D. in Energy and Environmental Policy in Delaware. During his doctoral studies, Curt returned to the music scene performing with the Newark Symphony Orchestra. He currently lives in Delaware where he serves as the Vice President for the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Delaware Association.

Kerry is a Data Analyst/Steward at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on the Enterprise Data and Analytics Modernization Initiative team. In this role, she is supporting the implementation of the new FEMA Data Exchange (FEMADex), a cloud-based data analytics platform. Previously, she was a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Program Specialist at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where she acted as an advisor for employee resource groups at the agency and analyzed demographic data to identify barriers to equal employment opportunity.

Kerry served in Paraguay from 2015-2017 in the Environmental Conservation sector. Her site was an agricultural community near the city of Caaguazú. While teaching gardening and environmental conservation classes at the local elementary school, she completed a Yerba Mate Escolar manual for use by future volunteers and their Paraguayan contacts to complete agroforestry education projects. In addition to focusing on environmental initiatives with Paraguayan counterparts, Kerry was a member of the Peer Support Network and on the editing team of the Peace Corps Paraguay newsletter (the KUAT).

Kerry holds a B.S. in Wildlife Conservation & Agriculture and Natural Resources and an M.P.S. in Geospatial Services.

Program Specialist for Community Health Sector. Has worked as a Technical Trainer for all Peace Corps sectors since September 2013. Has a background in Environmental science and a certificate in Public Policy and Volunteerism Management. Has continuously worked ad honorem for local non-profits in Paraguay since 2013, assuming roles at all levels: from being a volunteer to being a board president, and CEO at moments. These experiences have enriched his skills and understanding of community development and project management, with a special focus on youth participation and advocacy.

Rebecca Kidd served from 2016 – 2018 as a agricultural extension volunteer. She extended her service for a third year and served as a Peace Corps Paraguay regional coordinator in 2019.
